Conducted my first three day Revit Essentials Training last week and it all went well. The trainees were very receptive and seemd to get to grips the concepts. After the training I did start thinking, I shouldhave included this or that, but as they say practive makes perfect and looking forward to the next session.

Elevation depth uneditable
This one caused some frustation - it was 10pm and everyone wanted to go home, so not the best time to figure this out. Anyway the problem was that we could not modify the depth of the cut lines on our eleveations. The depth field was greyed out.
With a bit of experimenting realised that it was because the views were dependent. To solve the problem we clicked on the parent elevation within the project browser and changed the depth in the properties field.
With furtehr investigation discovered that you can modify the elevation view depth graphically by hovering over and tapping the magical TAB key.
